For quick service spots, you can check out Sweet on You, which has all kinds of sweet treats, Senses Juice Bar, which is a juice bar near the spa. For me, this is a fun way to step out of my eggs-and-bacon comfort zone and start my day with something I can’t easily find stateside such as a bowl of muesli (“fresh” granola) topped with fruits, nuts, and grains. Cabanas is the buffet-style restaurant onboard the Disney Wonder, which offers an eclectic menu featuring great tastes from around the globe. Dinner menu items at this specialty dining location include dover sole (fileted tableside), butternut agnolotti, and seared sea scallops. The restaurant’s signature chocolate soufflé is a popular finish to your meal. It doesn’t cost anything extra so you’re not out any money if you hate it — and you might be as surprised as I was to learn that you love it and want to order it on every cruise!

The heart of the Disney Cruise Line dining experience is its nightly dinner service. And on the Disney Wonder (like all Disney Cruise Ships), dinner is scheduled through something called rotational dining. You’re pre-scheduled to visit a different restaurant each night — no need to make a reservation ahead of time — but you’ll still have the same servers each night. The Disney Wonder is part of the original set of two ships that Disney Cruise Line built in the late 1990s. With a focus on family-friendly entertainment rather than belly flop contests and onboard casinos, Disney Cruise Line set a new standard that some other cruise lines are still trying to catch up to a quarter-century later. If you are cruising for more than 3 days you will visit restaurant more than once. All balcony cabins have 268 square feet of space including the verandah. The deluxe inside stateroom is 214 square feet, which is quite a big upgrade of space compared to the standard inside stateroom.
Those on the sailings to and from Australia and New Zealand will need different documents based on their nationality, but those from the U.S. will need passports and potentially visas, too. West Coast to Mexico can do the sailing with a passport or a state-issued birth certificate and a physical government-issued photo ID. However, some of the best character interactions will be the ones that aren't announced or planned. You may see a character on the promenade waving goodbye to land as you sail away from a port or "sleep-walking" in their pajamas at night when no one else is around.
There are two shows each day, which fit around the two different rotational dining times so that everyone has a chance to see the show. The Disney Cruise Ships are very much designed for families to spend time together. The exceptions to this are that children are never allowed in Cadillac Lounge, Cove Cafe or Signals. Promenade Lounge and French Quarter are open to children at any time. Azure is the largest of them all and is used for a lot of the entertainment including bingo, some gameshows and the adult entertainment in the evening. I usually choose Brunch but that is only because I enjoy the rotational dining rooms so much that I don’t want to miss the dinner there.
The princess-themed gifts include a jewelry box, link bracelet, necklace with charms, a Cinderella doll, autograph book with pen, and a tiara. And the knight-themed gifts include a Royal Court cinch bag, sword and shield, pins, autograph book, and Duffy the Disney Bear plush. The Deluxe Inside Stateroom has more square footage than the Standard Inside Stateroom, with 214 sq. Both types of rooms can sleep up to three or four, with a queen bed, single sleeper sofa, and upper berth pull-down bed available.
Tweens and young teens – ages 11 to 14 – have a space all to themselves onboard the Disney Wonder. Edge is the perfect place to relax thanks to its moody boiler room feel. There’s a huge 98″ video screen for watching Disney movies, a dance floor, plus plenty of video games and crafts. A mix of planned activities and unstructured free time leaves plenty of opportunities for socializing. You might be surprised by how much time your kids will want to spend away from you during your Disney Cruise!
There is still a Shutters stand so that you can talk to the staff about any questions you have about the Disney Cruise Photo Packages. Diamonds and Wishes is a relatively new feature on Disney Wonder, having been created in the space where Shutters used to be on Deck 4, during the dry dock prior to her first sailings to Australia. These reservation only activities are scheduled every day, and are available to book prior to your cruise, as well as on board. One very popular activity for the adults is the Beverage Tastings. If you are interested in purchasing a pass for the Rainforest, head to the spa as soon as you board and ask about availability. Length of cruise passes are available, and sometimes day passes are available.
Though the spaces might be used for general activities during the day, the area transforms each evening into a space just for the over-18 crowd. If you're looking for a classic cruise ship buffet meal, head to Cabanas. Currently open for breakfast and lunch on Disney Wonder, Cabanas is a traditional self-serve buffet. It's impossible to go hungry when you make a plate here because the venue offers everything from Mickey waffles (keep an eye out for the mornings that they have churro Mickey waffles) to chilled shrimp and crab legs.
